Tea with Shakespeare, Saturday 25th April
The Friends of Carnegie Library invite you to come to TEA WITH SHAKESPEARE. A celebration of Shakespeare’s Birthday in Words & Songs Performed by The Friends’ Musick in period costume. Directed by Marilyn Harper. Refreshments provided and all voluntary contributions gratefully accepted. The event will be opened by the Mayor of Lambeth at 3.30pm. Tea (Elizabethan style) will be served from 3pm.

World Book Day – Children’s events – Friday 6th March
To mark World Book Day the Carnegie is hosting two children's events this Friday.
The first is a Story and Rhyme Time for the under 5's from 10.30-11.30
The second is a craft session for children of all ages from 15.30-17.00
Carnegie Library Reading Group – New book for March 2015
This month the Carnegie Library Reading Group is reading Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It tells the story of a young Nigerian woman who emigrates to the United States for a university education and stays for work.
