Opportunity for self motivated, self starter

The Carnegie Library Project Group is looking for a self-employed, self-starter to help it turn the page at the Carnegie Library in Herne Hill.  Can you help?

The Carnegie Project Group has some funding from Lambeth Council to help it to come up with some ideas for increasing community uses in the Carnegie Library building.  An architect has been appointed to develop some options for how the building could be used, while keeping a library at its heart.  There is some funding to put toward restoring and upgrading the building into something the community can use more. In these difficult economic times, any new uses will have to be able to pay for themselves, or share space with users who can generate income from the building.  A number of different uses will be tested over the coming months before a major funding application will be submitted to completely revamp the building while retaining its historical character.

The Carnegie Project Group is seeking the services of a self-employed, self-starter to assist it deliver the above vision.  The role is expected to require on average approximately 2 days per week (15 hours) and is paid at £20 p/hr.

If you are interested in taking a paid role supporting the Project Group to deliver the above work, for more information please contact Fred Taggart (Carnegie Project Group) on ftaggart70@btinternet.com or Chris Sipidias (Lambeth Council) on 020 7926 5570 or 07908 766 280 or csipidias@lambeth.gov.uk

Alternatively, you can read the attached paper which has more information about the type of person we are looking for.  Applications close on the 14th February 2014. Interviews will take place the following week.
