Returned to the library after regrettable 3-year absence to find staff v welcoming and helpful, smart new layout and great selection of books. Revived my liking for the lending library concept – for one thing it makes you get on and read the book. Imagine it as a gym? No thanks. One suggestion tho – how about a designated quiet area (like the quiet coach on trains) – nice to find it such a lively meeting place but a bit distracting.
